Salford City will be looking to extend their unbeaten run on Saturday when Barrow visit The Peninsula Stadium in Sky Bet League Two (KO 3:00pm).
Late goals in the last two games have earned the Ammies a point from each to make it seven unbeaten since Karl Robinson took charge.
The Gaffer has certainly steered things in the right direction with Salford now 13 points clear of the bottom two, and 11 off the play-offs, but he feels that the side still has lots to improve on.
“To go seven games in and not lose is a tremendous return for the players, four draws and three wins. If we go and win on Saturday it’s two points per game and that’s promotion form, and we played some big teams in that.
“We know we can be better, there’s areas we want to be better and we’ll find that, it will come and it’s still early days, we’ve got a lot more to learn. But I can’t keep saying learning if the mistakes being made become continuous so from my point of view we do what’s right now, and we get ourselves ready for a very difficult game on Saturday.”
Visitors Barrow have been going well this season and arrive in M7 sitting fifth, as they look to secure a top seven finish for the first time since their return to the Football League. However Pete Wild’s side have lost their last two, and in seven EFL meetings with the Ammies have drawn four and lost three.
All four of those draws have come in the last four meetings though, including October’s 0-0 stalemate at the SO Legal Stadium.
