The first round draw for this season’s Carabao Cup will be taking place on Thursday 27th of June, with supporters able to watch live on Sky Sports News from 11.30am.

Salford City will be ball 28 in the Northern Section of the draw, a section which includes all League One and League Two clubs from the northern half of the country, as well as all Championship clubs except for Burnley, who will be joining the competition in the second round, alongside 13 Premier League sides.

The Carabao Cup will remain regionalised until the third round, when the remaining seven top flight clubs will be entering the competition, a stage of the Carabao Cup which the Ammies reached last season of course after defeating Preston North End and Leeds United in the previous rounds.
