New Salford City forward Frankie Okoronkwo has reacted to scoring a debut goal during Monday night’s win over MK Dons in Sky Bet League Two.
The 19-year-old Everton loanee joined the Ammies last week, and has hit the ground running at The Peninsula Stadium, scoring the all important winner just before half time in his first game for the club.
“I always have it in my head that I am going to score in a game, so I was visualising it before and then obviously I put it into practice, so I cannot ask for much more.
“Cole Stockton is a very good striker to watch because of the way he plays, and that is how I want to eventually play.
“I just feel like the more we play together, just the better we will become, the more goals we’ll score, the more assists we will get, and the more wins we will pick up.
“We played really well tonight, I think this is our stall that we have set out, and if we keep playing like this, then we will keep picking up wins whether it is at home or on the road.”
