Bio

Salford City forward Cole Stockton joined the club from Burton Albion in June 2024, becoming one of the first signings ahead of the 2024–25 season.

Over the previous four campaigns, the striker had scored an impressive 54 goals in 150 regular league appearances, including three goals in two visits to the Peninsula Stadium as an opposition player.

Before his time at Burton, Stockton enjoyed a prolific spell with Morecambe, netting 70 goals in over 200 appearances for the Lancashire side. He helped the Shrimps win promotion in the 2020–21 season and was named in the PFA League One Team of the Year the following campaign.

A Merseyside native, Cole began his career at Tranmere Rovers, progressing through the youth ranks and going on to make over 130 senior appearances for the Prenton Park club.

Stockton hit the ground running in his first season at Moor Lane, finishing as Salford’s top scorer with 17 goals in all competitions, 15 of those coming in the league, earning him a place among the top five goalscorers in League Two for the 2024–25 season.
