The defender joined the Ammies ahead of the 2024–25 season after leaving Portsmouth, where he had come through the club’s academy.

He had spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Aldershot in the National League, helping The Shots to achieve an eighth-place finish, just outside the play-offs.

Haji has also represented Tanzania at international level, featuring in all three of their group-stage matches at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, at club level, he featured in 39 of Salford’s 46 league games during his first season at the Peninsula Stadium, scoring his first goal for the Ammies away at Accrington Stanley in December 2024.
