Bio
Former Nottingham Forest and Hearts midfielder Jorge Grant joined Salford City on a two-year deal ahead of the 2025-26 season.
The 30-year-old made the move to the Peninsula Stadium following three seasons playing in the Scottish Premiership with Heart of Midlothian. Prior to his time north of the border, Grant has also had a series of successful stints at various clubs in England.
He began his professional career at Nottingham Forest and scored on his full debut against Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup at White Hart Lane when he was 19. He then went on loan at near neighbours Notts County, where Grant had a major impact for the Magpies, helping them secure a League Two play-off finish in 2018, scoring an impressive 15 league goals from midfield, and being named in the PFA Team of the Year for League Two that season.
As well as his Championship and League Two experience, Grant has also had spells in League One with Luton Town when the Hatters went on to win the division in 2019, and at Lincoln City, where the midfielder's 13 league goals helped Lincoln make the play-offs in 2021, and ensured that he was recognised once again by the PFA by being included in their League One Team of the Year for that season.
Grant moved to Hearts in 2022, and went on to make over 100 appearances for the Edinburgh club across his three seasons at Tynecastle, including numerous appearances playing in European competition.
