Bio

Kelly joined the Salford City academy late in 2020 as a scholar, and has risen to become our most prolific academy graduate!

Hailing from the Netherlands, the winger spent his early years on the continent before moving to the UK where he had spells in both the Manchester United and Manchester City academy teams.

Playing local football around Salford, Kelly was accepted into the academy alongside team mates Ben Collins and Djavan Pedro and quickly started to impress.

He was given his men's first team debut by Gary Bowyer in the 2021-22 season, starting two EFL Trophy group games and making a handful of substitute appearances before making his first start away at Scunthorpe United in November 2021 at just 17. To help his development he also had impressive loan spells at Warrington Rylands and Chester.

2023-24 was a real breakthrough season for Kelly as he scored three goals in 28 League Two appearances, before signing a new deal in the summer of 2024 to keep him at The Peninsula Stadium until at least 2026.

The 2024–25 campaign proved to be Kelly’s best season to date, as he became an integral part of the team, scoring nine league goals in 32 appearances for the Ammies and ending the season being voted the Players’ Player of the Year by his teammates.
