Bio

Kev Berkoe joined Salford City early in the 2020-21 season as a member of the B-Team.

The left-back spent his formative years in the academies at Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers before joining Oxford United for the 2019-20 season and making his senior debut in the EFL Trophy.

His Salford debut came in the same competition away at Rochdale in November 2020, the first of three appearances that season. The following season he joined AFC Telford United on loan in the National League North in September, making nine appearances for the Bucks before returning, and in the January he joined Altrincham on loan although on his third appearance he was shown a red card and by the time he was available again Alty had signed a replacement.

Neil Wood's arrival in 2022 saw Kev given training and playing time, and he started our Carabao Cup Round One visit to Bolton Wanderers in August after featuring on the bench for the opening League Two games. His first goal came against Liverpool Under-21s in the Papa John's Trophy later that month, and in September he made his league debut away at Sutton United as a starter. In March 2023 he joined National League Maidstone United on loan for the remainder of the season and was one of the Kent side's standout players despite their relegation.

Berkoe caught the eye in his loan spell at Woking in the second half of the 2023-24 campaign, scoring three goals and claiming an assist in eight outings as the Cards earned survival in the National League.

In the summer of 2024, the then 22-year-old signed a new two-year deal with Salford City, keeping him at the Peninsula Stadium until June 2026.

Now one of the club’s longest-serving players, he went on to make 18 appearances for the Ammies during the 2024–25 season.
