Bio
Salford City welcomed experienced defender Michael Rose to the Peninsula Stadium on a three-year deal in August 2025.
The 29-year-old centre-back began his professional career at his boyhood club Aberdeen, before going on to make nearly 130 Championship appearances during recent spells with Coventry City and Stoke City.
While at Coventry, Rose played a key role in their League One title success in 2020, helping the team keep 13 clean sheets in 30 starts on their way to promotion back to England’s second tier.
That 2020 triumph was actually his second League One title, having previously achieved the same feat with Ayr United in 2018, winning the Scottish equivalent.
