Salford City confirmed the signing of experienced and versatile defender Ollie Turton in the Summer of 2025.

The 32-year-old, who is comfortable as a right sided defender as well as playing in midfield, arrived at the Peninsula Stadium following four seasons at Huddersfield Town, where he made nearly 100 appearances for the West Yorkshire club across League One and the Championship.

Ollie began his professional career at Crewe Alexandra, making close to 200 appearances for the Cheshire club, before joining Blackpool in 2017 where he spent four seasons with the Tangerines, gaining the moniker “Mr Reliable”, scoring four goals across 165 appearances. He was also part of the Blackpool side that secured promotion via the League One play-off final in 2021.
